I’m so tired.  It started on Sunday, when, on the way to church, we discovered I had no coolant in my car.  NONE.  So we stopped at a gas station to put some in… and it poured right out again.

So that meant my car had to go to the service station, and Stephan took me to school on Monday.  He found out the parts wouldn’t be in until Wednesday, so I who drive an automatic had to drive Stephan’s manual to school Tuesday and Wednesday.  I can do it, but I’m not very good at it and I have concentrate really hard.  And that’s kind of tiring.

But then, this happened.  Chaos.  The teachers supervised the students in the university’s gym for three and a half hours, and then the middle and high school students and teachers moved to the university Student Center for an hour and fifteen minutes.  We went back to the school for the last hour of instruction.  I’m more tired than I would be if I had taught all day.

Thankfully, I was at least able to pick up my car after work, so I can rest my left leg which is not used to using a clutch.  And I don’t have to worry about what I’m doing in class tomorrow, ’cause it’s what I was planning to do in class today.

It’s been a long day.

About Karen Koch

I like the old-fashioned lifestyle. All this new-fangled stuff baffles me sometimes. I cherish living out in the country, raising chickens and rabbits, planting fruit trees, and enjoying a slow life filled with beautiful words and ideas. I don't always achieve a slow life. I teach middle school English and manage a little burgeoning farm with my husband, and somewhere in the midst of that, I try to find time for writing, running, knitting, reading, and playing the ukulele. And sometimes, I actually succeed.
