The calendar indicates that it’s late winter, but the weather insists it’s early summer. Eighty degrees in mid-March? This is crazy.
But the sights and sounds of spring are certainly here:
The pink blooms and the heady, sweet scent of the magnolia trees
The whir of golf carts and lawn mowers and the aroma of cut grass
The pop of yellow in fields of daffodils
The hint of green in the treetops, accented by red and white buds here and there
The hollering of school children, ready for spring break (and the sighs of their teachers, who are also ready)
