Cravings

I went to the grocery on Monday, and I was sooo craving fresh fruits and veggies.  So I bought grapes, bananas, and grapefruit; mushrooms, cauliflower, and carrots.

All I want to eat these days is salad or fruits and veggies.  Winter is coming to a close (it feels like April today!) and gone are my desires for starchy, cheesy, heavy foods.  Bring on the fresh stuff!

We’ll probably get our garden started again soon since the ground is anything but frozen.  We still have some seeds from last year, but I suspect we will get plants for a lot of things this time around as we weren’t pleased with the results of our seeds last year.

I’m ready for the green things to start growing!

About Karen Koch

I like the old-fashioned lifestyle. All this new-fangled stuff baffles me sometimes. I cherish living out in the country, raising chickens and rabbits, planting fruit trees, and enjoying a slow life filled with beautiful words and ideas. I don't always achieve a slow life. I teach middle school English and manage a little burgeoning farm with my husband, and somewhere in the midst of that, I try to find time for writing, running, knitting, reading, and playing the ukulele. And sometimes, I actually succeed.
